The Philadelphia Eagles are determined to redeem their 2023 season. Despite kicking off as the league's hottest team with a stellar 10-1 record, the Eagles faltered in the second half, finishing with an 11-6 record and an early exit in the first round of the playoffs.
Throughout the 2024 off-season, the Eagles have been actively enhancing their roster, with the standout move being the acquisition of star running back Saquon Barkley.
Another notable addition is linebacker Devin White, who chose to take a pay cut to chase a championship with Philadelphia. White, known for his crucial role in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 2020 Super Bowl victory, faced a tumultuous period with the team thereafter. Following a trade demand and a subsequent holdout, White signed a four-year, $4 million contract with the Eagles after seeing his playing time reduced by Buccaneers linebacker KJ Britt. In an interview with Sports Illustrated’s Eagles Today, White described the experience as humbling and expressed that leaving Tampa Bay might be the best decision for his career. Interestingly, White revealed he accepted less money to join the Philadelphia Eagles:

"Rather taking such and such with another team that don't have the pieces around to even allow me to become even better."

As the Eagles prepare for their NFL season opener in Brazil against the Green Bay Packers, it will be fascinating to see how their linebacking corps shapes up for week one.
